The real TEA on the "internal shower"

"How do I detox?" The answer is simple: you don't. It's a myth. Yes, the word "detox" has been used over and over again in health marketing campaigns in the past few years—but that doesn't mean it's real! Detoxing your internal organs is not something they teach us in medical school; it's an advertisement made up by marketers who want to sell you things like smoothies, juice cleanses or colonics (which are actually terrible for your body). So how did this myth come about? Well, there are two reasons why people think they need to detoxify their bodies: either they're sick or have been exposed to harmful substances.

Detoxing is a marketing fad, not a real thing.

You probably know that you need to drink water to stay hydrated, but did you know that your body detoxes naturally? Your body has a number of ways of getting rid of toxins and waste products on its own. For example, when you eat vegetables rich in fiber, the fibers bind with excess cholesterol and bile acids in your digestive system and help push them out through bowel movements. This is one reason why eating lots of fruit and vegetables can be so beneficial for your health: They give your body an opportunity to do some self-cleaning without requiring any extra effort from you.

But even if these methods don't technically count as "detoxing," they'll still make all sorts of positive changes inside your body—just don't expect them alone to cure whatever ailments might be bothering you at any given moment unless those ailments are purely psychological (and trust me... therapy is the BEST! so don't be afraid to go!)

Your body detoxes over time.

Your body is constantly detoxing and regenerating, expelling toxins and maintaining homeostasis. The internal shower is one way to help support this process as well as get some things moving in those bowels... But let's start with the basics.

Your body has to stay hydrated in order to detox.

Drinking water is the best thing you can do for your body. Water helps your body detox, it helps with digestion, and it is literally

the best form of hydration. We are team "gallon of water a day" over here in our household! Water has so many benefits not just for your internal organs but also for your external organs. Those pesky under-eyes that always bug you? Drink water. Extra bloat you got going on? Water. Hormonal acne and imbalances. Water.

Now water may not cure all these things but trust me when I say this is the FIRST STEP you should be taking to combat these.

If you are excited about starting to get your hydration going but want those pesky under-eyes to look like you haven't just walked off the set of the Walking Dead here's my recommendation for an instant fix: CLICK HERE

Foods themselves can hydrate your body. Shout out to watermelon!

Watermelon is actually a natural diuretic, meaning that it helps your body to rid itself of excess fluid. It’s also high in vitamin C and potassium, which both help keep you hydrated.

Lycopene is an antioxidant found in watermelon that plays a role in fighting cancer and lowering cholesterol levels. Beta-carotene is another antioxidant found in watermelon that aids the immune system and protects against damage from free radicals.

Internal shower is a healthy supplement that lets you detox while drinking water at the same time! Hurray!

What is the internal shower? This crazy TikTok trend is legit. It’s a supplement that helps you detox while drinking water at the same time. If you can get past the insane texture ( I prefer not to chew it) then you can reap these amazing benefits at home with little to no cost.

Here's the insanely easy recipe:

<----

What does it do?

The internal shower will help with gut health, adds quite a bit of fiber to help get those bowels moving, and the antioxidants are an excellent way to help combat stress related cortisol and get better sleep at night.

So what's the verdict? Are you going to try it?!
