Social media can be a great way to connect with people and grow your audience. However, it can also be a huge time sink if you don't have a plan and stick to it! In this post we'll break down why consistency is key on social media so that you can build trust, get more followers/followings, and grow your audience.
Consistency is key in social media.
Consistency is key in social media. The algorithm favors those who post daily, and if you can't do daily then build a schedule for yourself. The more you post, the more your audience will come back to see your new content.
You should also consider posting on a consistent time each day. For example, if you work during the day and have children at home during the evening hours, it might be best for your audience if you posted around 8:00 am every morning so they can check out what's going on in their newsfeed without having to scroll through all of their friends' photos first thing in the morning before they go into work or start their day with family activities
Consistency builds trust with your following.
Consistency builds trust with your following. People want to know what you are up to, and they can r
elate to you more if they feel like they have a better understanding of who you are and what your life is like. Consistency is key in building that trust, which means

that when you have something important to share (like a new product launch or a favorite life hack), people will believe it because they know that consistency isn't just something we do for the sake of it—it's part of who we are as people and brands!
Consistency makes you memorable. If people see something posted by a brand or person on social media once in awhile, there isn't much chance of them remembering who that was or what it was about. Consistency gives readers something to look forward to from their favorite authors or brands—and keeps those creators from getting lost in an endless sea of content creation!
Consistency makes them believe in your authority as an expert on the subject matter at hand (so long as this is actually true). When someone sees posts coming consistently from one source over time, it lets them know that this person has spent some serious time learning about this topic through experience rather than just trying to figure out how everything works so quickly after making some basic mistakes along the way.
The algorithm favors those who post daily (or more frequently)
One of the most important factors in determining whether or not you'll be successful on social media is being consistent. So much so that if you're not posting daily (or more), then it can be detrimental t

o your success. Why? Well, it's because the algorithm favors those who post daily (or more frequently).
This means if you have a small business and only post once per week, chances are your posts won't get seen by many people. However, if you were to post every day for an entire month straight—even if it's not your BEST content—you'd probably see a significant increase in engagement as well as followers. On top of this, posting consistently allows people to connect with your brand on a deeper level since they know what's coming next time around (think about how excited we were when Instagram announced its chronological feed again!)
Make a plan for posting and stick to it.
Consistency is key in your social media strategy. If you’re posting at the same time every day, it will become part of your daily routine and more likely that you’ll remember to do so.

To ensure consistency, set a schedule based on when you are most likely to be online. If you work 9-5 and get home around 6 pm, aim to post between 7-9 pm each night.
You may have heard of the idea of batching as a way to reduce burnout. The concept can be applied to creating content for social media if you prefer this method over manually curating posts each day—and trust us, we do! Batch creating allows us to spend less time on social media while still keeping up appearances by scheduling our posts ahead of time so they go out without fail at 10 am every morning.
